Siblings of cancer patients, no matter the age, are in an emotionally charged situation. They are sometimes called “forgotten mourners” because of their peer status with the patient (versus a parent, for example). Siblings of cancer patients often feel intense guilt, fear, and worry. The LLF knows that knowledge is power, therefore, we seek to provide adult siblings with information on what to expect, teach coping skills, and show how siblings can best support the survivor.
